paediatric

Undergoing surgery at any age can be frightening and finding the right team to undertake your child’s surgery can be a daunting task. We work with a team of experts who are accredited in providing paediatric surgical care for children and young people (CYP) with conditions such as prominent ears (pinnaplasty or otoplasty), benign skin lesions (eg pilomatrixoma, lipoma, moles), scar revision or congenital breast problems such as breast asymmetry or tuberous breast.

The Nuffield Manor Hospital is one of a small number of private health care facilities listed as a dedicated specialist centre for providing safe CYP services of exceptional quality. We pride ourselves in respecting our young patients autonomy, making them feel at ease, and supporting parents whom place great trust in us to deliver the best possible care.

Cancer

The diagnosis of cancer is often worrying and overwhelming. We understand the need to have your diagnosis made expediently and your treatment options explained comprehensively using simple language. We are here to support you from diagnosis to discharge during this difficult time.

Breast Reconstruction: We offer initial appointments within two weeks and perform surgery within national cancer target times whenever possible, including implant-based reconstruction and various flap techniques, including DIEPlatissimus dorsi (LD) and TUG/PAP flaps.

Skin Cancer: We treat all forms, including Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC), Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC), and Melanoma, with surgical options ranging from simple direct closures to skin grafts, local flaps and sentinel lymph node biopsy.

implants

Whether your implant-related query is about having implants for the first time, undergoing an implant check or discussing replacement or removal, you can be confident of a thorough discussion, tailored to your needs. We will cover common concerns such as capsular contracture, rippling and rupture, along with the latest evidence on breast implant associated conditions, texturing and how to register your implants in the national database.

If you are considering breast augmentation we will discuss different types of implants, whether they should be placed over or under your muscle, and the best shape and size to choose for your frame and lifestyle.  Implant health checks can establish if there is an indication for exchange of implants or liposculpture (fat filling. Sometimes,  removal of implants due to concerns or a desire to return to a natural breast can be combined with adjunctive procedures such as capsulectomy,  mastopexy and/or autologous breast augmentation using fat to enhance the appearance of your natural breast.

weight loss

Significant weight loss is a remarkable and often life-changing achievement. GLP‑1 weight‑loss medications (including Wegovy and Mounjaro) are being used by an increasing number of patients with impressive and sustained results, but the rapid loss of volume can leave behind excess loose skin which may case discomfort, infections, rashes and the need to wear clothing that doesn’t do your new body justice. A selection of procedures collectively referred to as body contouring surgery may provide a highly effective solution, including standard, extended and fleur-de-lys abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), lower and upper body lifts, brachioplasty (arm lift), thigh lift, and monsplasty, which aim to remove, tighten, and lift the skin, revealing your slimmer contour. Surgeries can be combined or performed in stages for the safest and most effective outcome. Throughout, we are here to support you with care, honesty and expertise, helping you take the final steps in your weight loss journey with confidence.

cosmetic & Bespoke

While some procedures are categorised as Aesthetic or Cosmetic, we consider pleasing aesthetics to be an essential component of every surgery we undertake. Our practice is mainly surgical, however, we do accept patients seeking botox treatment who value subtle, natural-looking results, injections, for excess sweating (hyperhydrosis), and steroid injection for keloid scars.

Lifestyle surgery includes procedures that affect the way you live by impacting you physically or psychologically. Examples include breast reduction, gyenaecomastia (male breast reduction), upper eyelid surgery, labiaplasty, correction of nipple inversionscar revision, pinnaplasty and excision of benign lesions.
