Mastopexy, or breast uplift, is a procedure designed to lift and reshape the breast(s) without significantly altering their volume. It is commonly performed to address changes related to ageing, pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss, or general loss of skin elasticity, which can lead to sagging or drooping breasts. The aim of surgery is to restore a more youthful and elevated breast shape.

Surgery involves removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue. The nipple-areolar complex is typically repositioned higher on the breast and may also be resized if desired. Mastopexy can be performed on one or both breasts, and may be used to correct asymmetry or to improve the overall appearance and balance of the breasts. When performed at the same time as removal of breast implants it can compensate for the lack of implant volume thereby aiding in the transition to being without implants.
